"We picked up back-to-back podium finishes recently—this was a 2nd place in a huge section of 44!
It was a tricky start to the event. We were supposed to sail out on Thursday but got refused, then refused again on Friday! Saturday was the magic day we finally sailed, and thankfully Northallerton was so accommodating in changing our entries from Saturday to Sunday.
- Dressage: This just keeps getting better! Scored 27.8 and a personal best to put us into 2nd place.
- Show Jumping: We were still a little wild, but I’m taming the wild child and appear to have turned a corner, keeping poles in their cups jumping clear to stay on our dressage score.
- Cross Country: Going into the XC, I had no idea of my score or position until I went over fence 1 and the commentator announced it! I have wanted to jump a broken bridge forever and today I got that chance. Fuelled with that excitement and now knowing where we stood, we got down to business. Fin needed a bit of encouragement to take on the bridge, but he knew what I wanted and flew it to come in clear and inside the time to finish on 27.8 and secure our second 2nd place overall!"

"We had a few outings in June, though not as many as we’d planned due to the heatwave. But we did have 5 top placings, ranging from 1st to 3rd.
Moving into August and early September, we had a few good outings. Then for the rest of September, we’ve been dealing with a little setback due to an injury. But she’s looking and feeling great, ready to get back to some shows this month. We’ve also got the Aintree National Championships coming up in November too!"
