The IHSGB, founded in 1986, is the only Icelandic horse association in Britain recognized by FEIF, the International Federation of Icelandic Horse Associations. The society is dedicated to maintaining the purity of the unique Icelandic horse, promoting interest in the breed, protecting its welfare, and encouraging breeding and riding competitions.
