More and more people worldwide are suffering from the crippling effects of anxiety. You may have heard of or seen Anxiety Bracelets on the market, claiming to relieve the symptoms. In this post we explore how anxiety bracelets work and how AV wristbands may work towards reducing your anxiety levels.
AV Wristbands have been popular for the last ten years with athletes and horse riders looking for an edge, as well as people who just want to improve their health.
What is Anxiety?
“The truth is that anxiety is at once a function of biology and philosophy, body and mind, instinct and reason, personality, and culture. Even as anxiety is experienced at a spiritual and psychological level, it is scientifically measurable at the molecular level and the physiological level. It is produced by nature, and it is produced by nurture. It’s a psychological phenomenon and a sociological phenomenon. In computer terms, it’s both a hardware problem (I’m wired badly) and a software problem (I run faulty logic programs that make me think anxious thoughts)”
Scott Stossell 'My Age of Anxiety
Anxiety is usually the defining symptom of conditions such as:
- Panic Disorder
- Phobias
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Social Anxiety Disorder
What Can Cause Anxiety?
Although the causes of anxiety are not entirely known, we accept that the following situations may increase the risk of suffering from anxiety.
- Increased brain activity for emotions and behaviour.
- Imbalanced brain chemicals relating to mood regulation, including serotonin and noradrenaline.
- Genetics–It is suggested that children of sufferers of General Anxiety Disorder are five times more likely to develop the condition.
- History of traumatic experiences, including domestic violence, abuse or bullying.
- Suffering from long-term pain.
- Drug or Alcohol abuse.
- Exposure to Electro Magnetic Fields. [1] [2]
How to Relieve Anxiety
There are several therapies that can help people with anxiety, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Healthy eating, exercise , and avoiding alcohol and cigarettes can help reduce anxiety.
What is an Anxiety Bracelet?
The term anxiety bracelet has gained traction recently, not least since people have become more aware of their mental health during covid times.
An anxiety bracelet will fall into one of two categories.
- An artefact worn on the wrist that is significant to the wearer. This anxiety bracelet may include a religious symbol, a sentimental gift, an inspirational message or perhaps a comforting texture.
- A wristband or bracelet claiming to reduce anxiety symptoms by interacting with the body. This type of anxiety bracelet may include magnet bracelets, healing stones bracelets, a crystal bracelet, or in the case of AV, holographic technology.
Are AV Wristbands Anxiety Bracelets?
AV Wristbands are not marketed as an anxiety bracelet in the traditional sense. Let me explain why.
Several stigmas are attached to the term Anxiety Bracelet, and people are often put off by the pseudo-science associated with them.
“At AV, we believe it's important to be transparent and provide research-based information alongside testimonials and reviews when promoting our products. We feel this is especially important in today's climate, where there are many companies making unsubstantiated claims with the sole goal of making money.”
AV products interact with the body’s bioelectrical field and potentially promote a more harmonious internal environment by negating the effects of electro pollution from EMF, 5G, and RF.
A 2006 study [1] had the following results.
“This study indicated increased symptoms including depression, anxiety, hostility, paranoia, interpersonal sensitivity, and obsession compulsion among exposed workers. A significant relationship was observed between the exposure of electromagnetic field and psychological symptoms.”
This study [2] also found that workers who were exposed to higher levels of EMF were more likely to experience anxiety symptoms. However, they also found that younger workers who had recently been exposed to EMF were at increased risk of suicide.
Many customers report feeling better physically, mentally, and emotionally after using AV products, with many citing stress relief and anxiety reduction as key benefits.
You may not know it, but buying an AV Wristband could be your first step towards finding the perfect anxiety bracelet – for yourself or a loved one!
